Declan Rice has improved a lot since joining Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in 2023.

The England international was already a terrific player when he was at West Ham. He was among the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League back then.

Now, he has become a lot more complete, and that’s all down to Arteta.

That is why Rice is absolutely convinced that his manager will go down as one of the greatest of all time when it’s all said and done.

No manager in the Premier League has been questioned as much as Mikel Arteta since he became the Arsenal boss in 2019.

At first, some people claimed that he could never be a success because he had no managerial experience beforehand. Then, they claimed that he could not take that Arsenal side into the top four.

People should’ve realised how good Arteta was when he achieved the above, but the critics refused to go away. They have constantly downplayed his abilities and are still doing the same today.

Those who have worked with the Spaniard, however, are of a completely different opinion. Declan Rice is one of them.

The midfielder has boldly claimed that Arteta will win absolutely everything, which is something no manager at Arsenal has done before – not even the great Arsene Wenger.

He told StanSport FC: “I think I’m very lucky to say that I’ve been able to play under him.

“I think this is a manager who is young in his managerial career still, but when it’s all said and done, he will go down as one of the best. It’s only the start.

“Don’t judge him now, judge him at the end when he’s won everything, because he will, for sure. I think he’s just incredible tactically.”
