Declan Rice has called for perspective on Arsenal’s draw against Sunderland, following an impressive run of form.
The Gunners went on a run of ten consecutive wins across all competitions, keeping plenty of clean sheets along the way.
However, Arsenal’s draw with Sunderland brought that to an end, adding a sour note to an otherwise impressive recent run.
With that in mind, Declan Rice has sent a message to the fans to stick with the team after that bit of form came to an end.

Declan Rice calls for perspective after Arsenal draw with Sunderland
Arsenal’s impressive winning run may have come to an end, but Mikel Arteta will now be looking to start the next run.
The Gunners remain top of the Premier League, regardless of results elsewhere, and are in good shape in their other cup competitions.
For Declan Rice, that is enough reason to call for some patience, as he said on his Instagram story: “Perspective. Unbelievable month. Unlucky not to win yesterday, but that’s football sometimes. More than ready to go after the break.”
It’s a case of Arsenal not getting too high when things are going well, and not getting too low when it doesn’t go to plan.
With Manchester City and Liverpool facing off, there will be at least one of their rivals dropping points over the weekend, coming as something of a boost.
That run after the international break doesn’t look easy, however, with the Gunners needing to hit the ground running again.

Games against rivals Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Chelsea will present tough challenges.
If Arsenal can squeeze past those sides on their return, then they will be in some fine form.

Declan Rice has been key to Arsenal’s recent form
Arsenal’s recent form has been reliant on their spine to perform, with so many injuries impacting the squad in recent weeks.
Declan Rice has been a particularly key part of that, with his set pieces being just one element of that.
It’s no surprise that the Gunners started to struggle against Sunderland when the midfielder started to tire after a busy few weeks.
Rice ended up taking 91 touches in the game with 94% passing accuracy, but with only one successful cross.
Arteta decided to make just one substitution, and perhaps the lack of like-for-like cover with his star player meant he stayed on longer than he should’ve.
With two weeks before the next run of form, there will be some hope that Rice can come back and be at his best.
