The North London club will now finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy this weekend when they travel away to Selhurst Park.

Following the historic title win, Bergkamp has issued his congratulations to the team for finally ending the club’s wait for the Premier League.

Dennis Bergkamp ‘so proud’ of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team

Dennis Bergkamp has admitted that he is ‘so proud’ of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal team after they finally won the Premier League.

Arteta’s side have been building for over six years towards this moment, and on Tuesday, the Spaniard’s vision became a reality.

Now, one of the club’s greatest attackers has applauded the achievement of this current group and expressed his pride at being an Arsenal fan.

Bergkamp wrote on Instagram: “Congrats to the boys, so proud of The Arsenal. The fans deserve this! This club is all about making history!”

The Premier League trophy is dressed in red and white after 22 years. How does this make you feel?

After going 49 games unbeaten, nobody could have predicted that the Gunners would have to wait 22 years to win another Premier League title.

Back in 2004, Bergkamp was one of the biggest driving factors in Arsenal’s title win and formed an unbelievable partnership with Thierry Henry.

That season, Bergkamp didn’t have the most prolific campaign, as he produced four goals and seven assists in 27 matches.

Only Viktor Gyokeres, Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard bettered his goal and assist tally this season, with the Swede leading the way on 15 goal contributions.

The fact that Gyokeres managed to outscore Bergkamp just puts into perspective how good he has actually been for the Gunners this term.
