Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has claimed he wants “neither team” to reach the final of the Champions League out of Arsenal and PSG, as one of the two will book their place in the coming week.
It comes after a dramatic night at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the contest, where an Ousmane Dembele strike proved to be the difference.
Mikel Arteta will be looking at the chances of a comeback, with Arsenal 1-0 down to PSG heading into the second leg at the Parc de Princes.
Ian Wright believes they can make the Champions League final, even despite the recent lack of form across all competitions.
While it may be easy enough for the Arsenal legend to cheer on his old side, former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is a bit more torn on the finalists on that side of the Champions League bracket.

Didier Drogba doesn’t want Arsenal or PSG in the Champions League final
Didier Drogba was a formidable striker in his day, often haunting Arsenal when given the chance over his two spells.
The former forward played for both Chelsea and Marseille, rivals of Arsenal and PSG, meaning it isn’t easy for him to watch a semi-final involving the two teams.
When speaking to RMC Sport about who he would prefer to see in the final, he simply said: “Do you really want to know the answer? Neither team.
“But I think it’s good for French football to have a team that’s gone this far. Good luck to them.”
It certainly shows that, even all these years on, the former players remember their rivalries forged in playing days.

Didier Drogba’s record against Arsenal
Arsenal have had many rival players come and go over the years, but few have been quite as devastating as Didier Drogba.
The Ivorian striker has an impressive record against the Gunners, scoring 13 goals in 15 appearances against the side.
| Appearances | Goals | Assists | Wins | Draws | Defeats |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 15 | 13 | 3 | 10 | 4 | 1 |
With only one defeat against Arsenal, Drogba clearly found it an enjoyable London derby to play in over the years.
They will be firmly glad he isn’t involved any more, with his legendary playing career now behind him.
