Arsenal had barely left the pitch at the Puskas Arena before their north London rivals were sharpening their social media fingers.
Djed Spence wasted absolutely no time in making his feelings known after Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to PSG on penalties.
The England full-back quote-tweeted a video on Arsenal had posted of him being marshalled tightly by Cristhian Mosquera during the north London derby earlier in the season.
Mosquera gave away the penalty which led to PSG’s goal after tripping Kvaratskhelia, after an otherwise commendable performance.
The Gunners’ original post had been captioned “Locked up” with a padlock emoji. Spence responded with another padlock of his own and an eyes emoji.
One has to wonder how long that one had been sitting in the drafts.

Richarlison also waded in, as per, reposting a video of a child fake crying and then laughing on his Instagram story.
He followed it up by posting an image of Marquinhos comforting Gabriel after his decisive missed penalty, captioning it: “Head up brother. There’s a World Cup soon and you’re going to dominate it.”
Whether that was genuine sympathy or a knowing twist of the knife is open to interpretation.
Chelsea’s official X account also got in on the act, posting a picture of their own Champions League trophy draped in blue ribbons with the caption: “Come and visit London’s Home of Trophies. Book your Stadium Tour at Stamford Bridge now.”
It is the second Champions League final defeat in Arsenal’s history.
Twenty years after the 2-1 loss to Barcelona in Paris, the pain is just as acute, though the circumstances feel very different.
Arsenal went ahead through a stunning Kai Havertz finish before attempting to see out the game on their own terms.
They defended with everything they had. In the end, it came down to penalties.
Richarlison and Spence will enjoy tonight. Arsenal will use it as fuel.
