Eberechi Eze laughs at failed Tottenham move

Eberechi Eze has laughed at the prospect of him nearly signing for Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Arsenal last summer.

The midfielder certainly made the right move, turning down Spurs in favour of Arsenal, with both teams having very different seasons.

Eze has tormented Spurs this season, scoring a hat-trick against them at the Emirates Stadium and also a brace during the 4-1 win back in March.

Eberechi Eze on Arsenal’s Champions League final preparations

Eze revealed that Arsenal had plans to celebrate their Premier League title on Monday, but now the focus is on the Champions League final.

Eze revealed: “Pretty much it’s preparation now and until the day of the game. Of course, we’ll enjoy tonight as much as we can, but we’ve got our eyes on the competition and so on.”

The midfielder will be quite content with his ten goals and six assists ahead of the Champions League final, but he will certainly hope to add to that tally in Budapest.

It will be interesting to see whether Mikel Arteta picks either him or Martin Odegaard to start against Paris Saint-Germain on May 30.
