Olivier Giroud’s heading during his time at Arsenal was better than anyone else’s in the world.
The Frenchman was capable of scoring all types of goals, but he made a great name for himself because of his ability in the air.
When you ask most Arsenal fans who is the best player at heading, Giroud’s name will be the first thought of many supporters.
Eberechi Eze, who has always been an Arsenal fan, has a different answer.

Eberechi Eze picks Gabriel Magalhaes’ heading over Olivier Giroud’s
Gabriel Magalhaes has to be the most dangerous player in the world when it comes to set-pieces.
The Brazil international scored a header on his debut for Arsenal all the way back in 2020. He opened his account against Fulham, but nobody really thought much about it at the time.
Since then, Gabriel has taken his tally up to 21, 18 of which have come in the Premier League. Laurent Koscielny is the only defender in Arsenal’s history to have scored more.
Gabriel’s most recent goal was a brilliant header against Newcastle United, and that must be fresh in Eze’s memory.
In an interview on Stadium Astro, when asked to name the perfect player for heading, the new Arsenal signing said: “Gabriel!”
When Adam Carruthers suggested Olivier Giroud, Eze replied: “Yeah, that is good!
“That is a good one. He was effective, but Gabi’s new.”
Mikel Arteta shares Gabriel Magalhaes injury update after he limped off vs Olympiacos
Arsenal have had so many injury issues over the last 18 months.
Many people feel that the Gunners would’ve won the Premier League or the Champions League last season if it weren’t for unavailable players.
Gabriel is the latest injury scare after the Brazil international hobbled off the pitch against Olympiacos in the second half.
Mikel Arteta was asked about an update on the same, and Arsenal fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
He said, as per Arsenal.com: “Yeah, I think he’s going to be OK. He felt something, I think it was a kick, I’m not sure, in the first half, and he was a bit uncomfortable, and towards the second half, he was there.
“He could carry on, but we decided not to take any risks because he’s played a lot of games, he’s coming from a long-term injury as well, and we need to look after him.”
