Arsenal have three games to combat until they face Tottenham, but for the Lilywhites, focus is already on the Gunners.
Spurs have 12 days off until welcoming Arsenal to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and to be honest, they need it.
On matchday 26, Thomas Frank came under more pressure than ever, as his squad lost at home to Newcastle United, their seventh loss in N17 this season.
Frank believes he will be in charge to face Arsenal in the North London Derby, to the dismay of Spurs fans, but to the delight of Gooners.
Which Tottenham manager’s era did you enjoy most as an Arsenal fan?
Is it Frank's right now? 😅
Eberechi Eze previews North London Derby amid Tottenham pressure
Tottenham are awful, and their 16th-place position confirms that, sitting five points above the relegation zone.
Arsenal could apply even more pressure when visiting their rivals on matchday 27, as Spurs will know, having lost 4-1 to the Gunners back in November.
The hero of that day was, of course, Eberechi Eze, who is already looking forward to making the trip across north London to face the club that he snubbed.
“Yeah, that’ll be a fun game for sure,” Eze told Arsenal’s official website when asked about the upcoming North London Derby.
“These are games that make it so special, the north London derby, so I’ll be looking forward to that,” he added.
The occasion will be particularly humorous for the summer signing if Spurs do not have a manager change before the fixture, given that Frank taunted Eze before the North London Derby at the Emirates.
Eze could end Frank’s reign at Spurs
To be honest, Eze will be the last thing on Frank’s mind, as Tottenham are in genuine danger of relegation and his job couldn’t be further from secure.
That being said, the manager is confident that he’ll be in the dugout for the North London Derby, not the away end, amid taunts that he’s a Gooner.
How fitting would it be for Eberechi Eze to end Thomas Frank’s reign at Tottenham?
"Who's Eze?" 🤭
With Eze on his way to visit N17, Frank might quietly hope to get out before the derby, as the Englishman has enjoyed visiting Tottenham in recent years.
Eze has scored three goals in his previous two visits to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a tally he’ll be eager to add to on matchday 27.
It could be a bizarre atmosphere when Arsenal take the trip to see their neighbours, but will Frank be in charge?
