One player who left Arsenal in the most recent summer transfer window has already admitted that he would like to return to the Emirates Stadium.

Mika Biereth left Arsenal on a permanent basis in July to join Sturm Graz, having impressed whilst on loan with the Austrian outfit last season.

The 21-year-old striker has started the new campaign in fine form. Biereth has netted 8 times in 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

If he continues to develop at his current rate, it is hard to imagine that he will remain in Austrian football for too much longer, and the Gunners could even come to regret sanctioning his exit.

Mika Biereth open to Arsenal return

The Denmark under-21 international is certainly keen to test himself at a higher level at some stage in his career.

Biereth has even admitted he’d return to Arsenal very happily in the future, if the opportunity to do so arose.

He never had the chance to represent the North London club at senior level in his time at the Emirates Stadium, but Mikel Arteta will have been well aware of his quality and potential, and may well will still be keeping tabs on Biereth.

In any case, the Spanish coach ought to take it as an encouraging sign that Biereth would be so willing to come back to Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta impact at Arsenal obvious

Arteta has transformed Arsenal since his appointment as head coach in December 2019. At that time, as the former midfielder came to take up the hot seat, the club was in disarray.

The Gunners were miles from title contention, had fallen out of the Champions League, and there was a toxic rift between the club and the fanbase. It took a long time, and the road of progress did not always run smoothly, but Arteta has gradually resolved all of these issues.

Not only are the North London club now real contenders for all the biggest prizes in the game again, there are routinely passionate and enthusiastic atmospheres at the Emirates Stadium.

The close-knit, family like atmosphere that Arteta has cultivated behind the scenes at Arsenal has been pivotal to this progress, and will be a major reason as to why Biereth would be delighted to return.
