Declan Rice won the Man of the Match award for his performance against Bayern Munich, but he wasn’t the only Arsenal player who impressed.

The Gunners picked up their first win against the Bundesliga champions in a decade, and they fully deserved their victory.

Rice ran the show, while Jurrien Timber, Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli all found the net to push Arsenal to the top of the Champions League table.

Another player who was magnificent was Cristhian Mosquera.

The young Spaniard was asked to fill in for the injured Gabriel Magalhaes at left-centre-half, and he was flawless. He dealt with the pressure well, was composed all game and completely dominated Harry Kane.

Arsenal supporters are beyond impressed.

Arsenal fans are blown away by Cristhian Mosquera’s performance vs Bayern Munich

Arsenal signed Mosquera for just £13 million in the summer, and he is proving to be an incredible signing.

Having a good start to the season is one thing, but to produce a near-perfect performance against one of the best teams in world football is what has impressed fans.

How good was Cristhian Mosquera vs Bayern Munich?

Speaking about how he dealt with Kane, one Arsenal supporter said: “Mosquera just turned the best centre forward in the world into a ghost.”

Another wrote: “Mosquera might be the deal of the window considering his price tag and the performances he’s putting in.”

“Mosquera was absolutely flawless tonight. Composed in possession, flawless out of it. Won all his duels against Harry Kane and kept him in his pocket all game,” tweeted another.

Another Arsenal fan said: “Yeah, kudos to Mosquera. He did a job on Kane. Even when Kane dropped into his half, Mosquera went to hug him. It was a masterclass.”

“That Mosquera masterclass shouldn’t go unnoticed,” wrote another.

Cristhian Mosquera’s stats vs Bayern Munich are so impressive

Replacing Gabriel, who is arguably the best central defender in the world, is not an easy thing to do, but Mosquera did it effortlessly.

The former Valencia man was never troubled by Bayern, and he caused all sorts of problems for Kane every time he got on the ball, especially in the second half.

In his 90 minutes, Mosquera had 48 touches of the ball and completed 38 of his 42 attempted passes, maintaining a very impressive 92 per cent passing accuracy.

He made five ball recoveries, an interception and a tackle, and was not dribbled past a single time in the entire game. (Sofascore)

Mosquera had already impressed at Arsenal with his performances in the Premier League. However, his display against Bayern has to be his best one yet.
