Arsenal are in the midst of a midfield crisis as Mikel Arteta could be without Martin Odegaard for the North London Derby against Tottenham.
The Gunners are already missing Mikel Merino and Declan Rice for the trip to their near neighbours, coming as a huge blow.
On top of that, Odegaard picked up an injury on international duty with Norway, seemingly rolling his ankle in an awkward fashion.
With the playmaker potentially out of action, Arteta is tasked with dreaming up an alternative Arsenal team to the one he would’ve wanted heading to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
That may also mean picking a different Arsenal captain for the day, with a few options able to take the armband.

Who could be Arsenal captain for the North London Derby?
Bukayo Saka
The most obvious choice for Arsenal captain is Bukayo Saka, with the winger knowing exactly what it takes to lead.
Coming through the Hale End academy, the 23-year-old is a Gunner through and through, experiencing all of the highs and lows of the club.
Despite his comparatively young age, Saka already leads with his performances on the pitch and can do so with the armband on.
Coming up against Tottenham in the North London Derby adds another layer to the situation and no one would be more proud than him to be named the captain for such an occasion.
On top of that, Odegaard had already handed him the armband when coming off against Brighton, suggesting Saka is next in line.
Jorginho
If experience is what is needed, then look no further than midfield veteran Jorginho as the next best captaincy option.
The 32-year-old has seen it all, done it all and near enough won it all during his career so far, so the upcoming clash will be nothing new to him.
In the midfield, the Italian international would offer a calming presence both on and off the ball and would be a good pick for the armband.
William Saliba

Defender William Saliba is another option as the young centre-back continues to tower above the rest at the back.
At just 23 years old, the Frenchman has already shown all of the qualities to be a leader in both performance and personality.
Gabriel Magalhaes
A fourth option for the armband is another centre-back in Gabriel Magalhaes, who has been another huge player in the defensive ranks.
At 26 years old, the Brazilian has been on the journey with Arsenal from the bottom to the top and his growing influence on the backline and the whole team is clear.
