Freddie Ljungberg is not just an Arsenal legend for what he did as a player for us but also for his role as the coach of our fantastic youth teams.

The legendary Swede has helped develop many of our young players including Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe. Young American midfielder Yunus Musah, who spent seven years with us, is another one who Ljungberg helped become the player he is today.

Freddie Ljungberg’s two Arsenal gems set to play in England vs USA tonight

England take on the USA tonight in what will surely be an exciting game.

The Three Lions won their opening fixture at the World Cup thanks to Bukayo Saka’s stunning brace, while the Americans were held to a 1-1 draw against Wales.

Saka is a guaranteed starter for England tonight, while Musah is expected to get the nod again as well. Both players haven’t played with or against each other for a few years now, but they will tonight, and one man will be watching with a smile on his face – Ljungberg.

“For me, it is unbelievable to see (Saka and Musah facing each other) – it’s a really cool thing,” the Swede told The Daily Mail.

“It’s a special day for both of them. It is amazing to see two players from the Arsenal academy that played with each other from when they were 14 or 15 years old to now playing against each other when they are 19 and 21 for two different countries and on the biggest stage of the World Cup.

“The steps they have taken compared to five or six years ago shows how quickly it can go in football.”

The Insider’s View:

Saka is already a star in the Premier League. The 21-year-old is one of the best wingers in the country and he’s now delivering on the biggest stage in world football as well.

Musah, who is a couple of years younger than Saka, hasn’t quite set the stage on fire as the Arsenal number seven has, but he is a phenomenal talent.

He is a regular for Valencia and the USMNT and has all the characteristics to become a superstar in the coming years.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out tonight, but Saka’s England will definitely go into the game as favourites, and we expect them to seal qualification to the next round with a victory.
