Bukayo Saka inspired Arsenal to a 3-0 win over Monaco in the Champions League.
The Englishman is getting better and better every week. He scored twice against the French giants and then picked up an assist for the third goal.
Arsenal were nowhere near their best against Monaco, but Saka’s brilliance in attack was enough for Mikel Arteta’s side to pick up their fourth win of the season in the Champions League.
The French press have now had their say on the Arsenal number seven.
France’s media deliver verdict on Arsenal star Bukayo Saka’s performance vs Monaco
Saka rarely gets the credit he deserves from the English media.
Arsenal fans are the only ones in the country who hail the England star for his performances. Almost everyone else tries to compare him to other players who are just not on his level.
The foreign press, however, are often blown away whenever they watch the Arsenal winger come up against the big sides of their country.
The Portuguese media raved about Saka after his performance against Sporting CP in Arsenal’s dominant 5-1 win in their previous Champions League fixture.
Now, the French media have had their say, and they’ve all agreed on one thing – that Saka was the best player on the pitch against Monaco.
FootMercato called Saka the Man of the Match and wrote: “The England international wasn’t asking for that much. Quite discreet on his side at the start of the match, he just had to push the ball into the back of the net after a superb low cross from Gabriel Jesus.
“Accompanying the drop in performance of his team, he no longer existed in the second half until his second goal, offered by Salisu who completely faltered. With these two gift goals, one thing is certain, he will not pout Saka. Generous against his will, he offers a decisive pass to Havertz on a deflected shot.”
Saka was also named the Man of the Match by MaxiFoot, who said: “Sometimes, great players don’t need to perform excellently to carry their team. The Arsenal winger who did not torture Vanderson on his flank is proof of that.
“Apart from a few exchanges with Ødegaard, the England international made little difference with the ball. But, he is in the right place at the right time. As a result, he finished with a double and an assist for the third goal.”
Homme du Match were in agreement with the above two and named Saka the Man of the Match. They wrote: “Two goals and an assist, a statistically perfect match for the Gunners winger.
“He found himself at the end of a superb collective action led by Lewis-Skelly and Jesus to open the scoring. He then benefits from the poor recovery of the Monegasque goalkeeper, well-pressed by Havertz, to double the lead with a surgical finish.
“To finish off his excellent match, he is credited with an assist on Arsenal’s last goal. Apart from these actions, Saka is still important in the offensive game. He has created many dangerous situations for himself or others.”

Bukayo Saka is about to embarrass Chelsea legend Eden Hazard
Eden Hazard is one of the best players to ever play in England.
The Belgian was unbelievable for Chelsea during his time there. He performed magnificently for years and played a big part in their success.
Saka is just as important to Arsenal as Hazard was to Chelsea. However, the Gunners star is about to overtake the Belgian’s legacy very soon.
Hazard scored just 10 goals in 61 appearances in the Champions League. Saka has played just 14 games, but he has already found the net eight times.
The Arsenal winger is on track to break Hazard’s goal tally in the Champions League despite playing significantly fewer games than the Belgium hero.
