Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus is working very hard to return to full fitness.
The Brazil international suffered a terrible knee injury during an FA Cup clash against Manchester United in January this year. The striker had to undergo surgery and has been out of action since.
Jesus has hinted that he is close to a comeback, but even that is a few weeks away.
However, everyone at Arsenal, including Mikel Arteta, is telling him the same thing as he works on his recovery.
What Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board are telling Gabriel Jesus every day
Gabriel Jesus is in a tricky position at Arsenal.
Everyone knows how good the Brazilian can be on his day. He showed that by scoring six goals in four games just before he got injured.
Jesus in that kind of form could’ve led Arsenal to glory last season, but the 28-year-old is now behind Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and perhaps even Mikel Merino in the pecking order.
That has led to reports that Andrea Berta could sell Jesus in 2026, but the former Manchester City man has made it clear that he will not leave until his contract expires a year later.
Furthermore, the striker has suggested that Arsenal see him as part of their plans too.
Speaking to ESPN Brasil, Jesus said: “Every day, the coach and the board say they’re eager for my return.
“I don’t see myself outside the club’s plans. I have a contract until 2027, and if it’s not renewed by then, I’ll be at the club at least until 2027.”

Does Gabriel Jesus have a future at Arsenal?
Jesus seems adamant that he will stay at Arsenal until the summer of 2027, and his comments suggest that he has not ruled out an extension either.
However, it is very difficult to see him getting minutes in this Arsenal side.
Summer signing Gyokeres has fared brilliantly since he joined the club, while Kai Havertz has also led the line well over the last two campaigns.
Out wide, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and even Eberechi Eze have all impressed this season.
Jesus deserves praise for being confident about regaining his place at Arsenal, but we think he has next to no chance of playing a big part again under Arteta.
