Gabriel Jesus has claimed Kai Havertz has the best defensive workrate of any striker in history.
When speaking to The Athletic, Gabriel Jesus has been building his ‘perfect’ striker made up of a number of attributes from players throughout history.
Unsurprisingly, Jesus picked Thierry Henry’s pace, Lionel Messi’s left foot and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his strength.
Interestingly, when it came to defensive workrate, Jesus picked his Arsenal teammate, Kai Havertz.
We’ve seen plenty of strikers who work hard on the defensive front over the years – from Carlos Tevez to Jamie Vardy, but according to Jesus, Havertz is the best of the bunch.

Jesus and Havertz often compete for the same place in the Arsenal team, but, on occasion they do play together.
Jesus and Havertz aren’t exactly a classic strike partnership, but when they do share the same pitch, more often than not, they are on the winning team.

As we head into the final weeks of the season, both Havertz and Jesus will have key parts to play in this Arsenal side.
Of course, Viktor Gyokeres has been Arsenal’s first-choice striker in recent times, but with games coming thick and fast, there will be plenty of opportunities for Havertz and Jesus to make their mark.
Who will you start as Arsenal’s striker in the Carabao Cup final – Viktor Gyokeres or Kai Havertz?
Arsenal are chasing a quadruple, and if they are to complete that unprecedented feat, every single member of the squad will have to stand up and be counted.
