Gabriel Magalhaes has entered his sixth season as an Arsenal player.
The Brazil international was relatively unknown when he joined the club in the summer of 2020, but he has developed into one of the best defenders in the world over the years.
Gabriel has had the privilege of playing with a number of exceptional players at Arsenal, and he has seen some of them produce unbelievable moments on the pitch.
However, the one player who seems to have amazed Gabriel the most is Max Dowman.
Gabriel Magalhaes says he has never seen anyone like Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman
Dowman is a superstar in the making.
The 15-year-old has been making a lot of noise for a couple of years now, and he finally got an opportunity with the senior squad in Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia.
Dowman impressed then and has since made his competitive debut for the Gunners in the Premier League. He looked sharp, and anticipation in the stadium increased every time he got on the ball.
Gabriel Magalhaes is no stranger to skilful players. He has played with the likes of Neymar, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo for Brazil, but Dowman seems to have made a bigger impression on him than the rest.
During an interview on Sky Sports, the Arsenal centre-back was speaking about the most skilful players at the club.
He discussed Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze before making a point about young Dowman.
He said: “I think Max as well. This guy is unbelievable! This is crazy (that he’s only 15). I’ve never seen anything like him on the pitch.”

Mikel Arteta has employed a clever plan for Max Dowman
Dowman was officially promoted to the Arsenal first team at the start of this season.
That is outrageous considering he is still just 15 years old, but Mikel Arteta trusts him and has given him three opportunities already – two in the Premier League and one in the Carabao Cup.
However, in games where Dowman’s services were not required, the Arsenal manager sent him down to the academy side so that he could get minutes there.
That is a very smart plan, as the teenager needs to be playing. Keeping him on the first-team bench just because he has been promoted to the senior squad would make no sense at all.
Dowman has played two times for the U21s this season, and he scored in both games. That will help with his development.
