Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes has come up against some of the best forwards in the world over the years.

The Brazil international has been at Arsenal for over five seasons now, and he is among the finest centre-backs on the planet.

Alongside William Saliba, Gabriel has formed the best defensive partnership in the Premier League over the last three campaigns.

The Arsenal number six is always up for a battle, and he has been able to shut down many big names in the famous red and white.

Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes says Harry Kane is his toughest ever opponent

Harry Kane caused Arsenal all sorts of problems when he played for Tottenham.

The Englishman is the highest goalscorer in North London Derby history, and many supporters were glad to see the back of him when he joined Bayern Munich.

Even when Arsenal faced Bayern, Kane managed to score against the Gunners, thus playing a part in knocking them out of the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2024.

Gabriel Magalhaes has had many great battles with Kane and has managed to get the better of him in the past.

However, the Brazil international has admitted that the Spurs icon is not easy to face.

In an interview on Isabela Pagliari’s TikTok channel, Gabriel was asked to name the one attacker who has been the most difficult to face in his career.

He replied: “Harry Kane!”

Harry Kane could’ve been teammates with Gabriel at Arsenal

Kane was an Arsenal fan growing up and even played for the club’s academy.

The Englishman, who was just eight years old at the time, only lasted a year on the red side of North London before he was released by the club.

Kane went on to join Tottenham and became one of the best strikers in the world there. He has gone up a level at Bayern, but if the Gunners didn’t release him, he could well have been playing with Gabriel now.

Speaking about the reason why Kane was pushed out of Arsenal, former academy director Liam Brady admitted that he made a big error.

He told Corriere della Sera: “Sadly, yes (we released him). He was chubby, not very athletic, and we made a mistake.”
