The contest between Gabriel Magalhaes and Erling Haaland will be great to watch when Arsenal take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.

Gabriel Magalhaes thinks Erling Haaland enjoys playing against him

Gabriel Magalhaes and Erling Haaland have had many great battles in recent years.

The two players haven’t just gone toe-to-toe in attack-versus-defence battles; they have had a few altercations too.

Even Pep Guardiola had to intervene at one stage to separate the two players, but there is a lot of mutual respect between the pair.

Ahead of the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, Gabriel was asked about facing Haaland.

He told The Athletic: “I enjoy every game, every striker.

“It’s my job, so I like to battle. He (Haaland) is a top player, and I think he likes to play against me as well.

“It’s fun – we enjoy it!”

Arsenal go into the Carabao Cup final as slight favourites against Manchester City, but anything can happen at Wembley.

Arsenal have the momentum on their side, but they will still need to be at their best, especially Gabriel and William Saliba.

If the two central defenders have a good game, the Gunners will likely walk out of Wembley with the Carabao Cup.
