Gabriel Martinelli has shared his verdict on Arsenal’s four new summer signings.

The Arsenal squad is changing, as Mikel Arteta has welcomed four players to his team so far.

Four is set to rise to six very soon, with Andrea Berta agreeing deals for Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres.

Arteta’s squad could look different by the time the 2025/26 season begins, which would have alerted several players whose position in the starting XI could be tested.

Gabriel Martinelli comments on Arsenal’s new signings

One player whose future will almost certainly be impacted by Arsenal’s business is Gabriel Martinelli

The Brazilian has had a difficult few years in North London, seeing his form dip and injuries disrupt his seasons.

Martinelli has been prompted to raise the bar, with no method as effective as implementing competition for game time.

Noni Madueke will be a source of competition for Martinelli, who, despite the uncertainties, has expressed his satisfaction with Arsenal’s business so far.

“Yeah, I’m really happy with the new signings,” Martinelli told The Straits Times.

“They’re going to really help us this season. Really good players, we’re happy with them and we’re trying to help them feel at home, so I look forward to playing with them as well.”

Martinelli will be desperate to impress Arteta during Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia, particularly as Madueke is not with the squad yet

The former Chelsea ace has been granted a holiday period having participated at the Club World Cup with the Blues.

How Gabriel Martinelli compares to Noni Madueke

Martinelli isn’t just looking forward to duelling with Madueke, with the arrivals of Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard not to be overlooked.

Madueke’s transfer has been discussed in more depth than the other three pieces of business Arsenal have confirmed, largely because of his numbers last season.
