Gary Lineker is totally impressed after hearing a truly remarkable stat about Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus this week.

The Brazilian was the star of the show when we beat Nottingham Forest a few days ago. He scored the opener and then assisted Bukayo Saka‘s goal to help us win the game.

Gary Lineker reacts to Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus’ ‘extraordinary’ Premier League stat

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus often comes under criticism for not scoring enough goals.

The 26-year-old has been in the Premier League for over six-and-a-half years now, but he has only managed to score 73 goals in 202 appearances.

He’s definitely not prolific, but what makes Jesus really special is that his side doesn’t lose when he finds the back of the net.

Yep, that’s right, in the 60 games he has scored in for Manchester City and Arsenal in the Premier League, the two sides have never ended up on the losing side.

That is an amazing statistic, and Gary Lineker was really impressed too.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, the pundit said: “He has got that remarkable record, hasn’t he now? Whenever he has scored, whether it’s been for Manchester City or Arsenal, they have not lost a game.

“I think it’s about 60 times now, which is quite extraordinary!”

Gabriel Jesus will be key for Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal take on Liverpool on Sunday in what will be a massive game for both sides.

The Merseysiders are on top of the Premier League table right now, and if we lose, they will go eight points clear of us. That would all but end our title hopes, won’t it?

Arsenal need to beat Liverpool this weekend, and we feel Gabriel Jesus will be key. The Brazilian has missed chances against the Reds in the past, and we’re sure he’ll have opportunities to score on Sunday as well.

Hopefully, Jesus finds the net this time, and as his record shows, we will likely come out on top if he is on the score sheet.
