Gary Neville was left blown away by what he saw from one Arsenal star in yesterday’s win against Manchester United.
Mikel Arteta’s side ensured that the Premier League title race will go down to the final day of the season after securing a comfortable yet unremarkable 1-0 win at Old Trafford, with Leandro Trossard scoring the only goal of the match.
With the likes of Martin Odegaard having an off day, it was a game that will be remembered for the achievements achieved beyond the 90 minutes rather than the performance itself, with Arsenal unable to really get going against United.
Yet for Neville, one Arsenal player really impressed on the day.

William Saliba showered with praise for Arsenal display vs Manchester United
Speaking on Sky Sports’ coverage of the clash, Neville highlighted Wiliam Saliba’s performance for Arsenal against United, where the defender was again named Man of the Match.
Having won the accolade away to Liverpool and Manchester City this season, Saliba again showed yesterday why he is one of the best defenders in the Premier League and a focal part to Arsenal’s success.

And whilst the attacking and creative display from Arsenal at Old Trafford was poor, the Gunners were again exceptional at the back, with Saliba a man mountain and stopping United from doing anything of note.
Neville said on Saliba’s performance: “Saliba has been outstanding today. 11th clean sheet away from home and a really big one. He had to keep concentrating. Arsenal have not been at their best today, but he has.”

Arsenal would not be where they are now without Saliba
Arsenal are on course to enjoy their best-ever Premier League season by virtually every metric, a feat that would be made even more remarkable if they end the campaign empty-handed.
Yet the Gunners could not be where they are now had it not been for Saliba, who this season has been one of Arsenal’s most consistent and important players.
Staying fully fit has proven that losing Saliba last season was crucial in Arsenal’s collapse at the end of the year, and the French international has gone up another level this campaign in what has been another remarkable term for the Gunners.
