Arsenal are preparing for the return of the Premier League as they welcome Nottingham Forest to the Emirates Stadium.

It has been a positive international break for the Gunners despite uncertainty around William Saliba’s return from injury with reports that he could miss up to a month with an ankle injury.

Martin Odegaard looked sharp for Norway as he provided a goal and assists in their 11-1 demolition of Moldova.

Stuart Pearce praised Declan Rice for his performances for England and now pundit Gary Neville has expressed his belief that one new signing at Arsenal has become a ‘different’ player under Mikel Arteta.

Gary Neville praises Noni Madueke’s form since Arsenal transfer

Speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, Neville has praised the form of Arsenal summer signing Noni Madueke.

Roy Keane praised Madueke’s movement as the £52m signing from Chelsea starred for England during their 5-0 win over Serbia in the FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Neville stated: “I want to ask about Madueke. I’ll be honest with you, when Arsenal signed him, I’d seen him play quite a lot at Chelsea. I thought, yeah, he’s a bit…

“I can see why Chelsea have sort of let him go. I tell you what, a different player at Arsenal in the England games in the last few weeks.”

There were mixed feelings among the Arsenal fanbase when Andrea Berta splashed the cash on the winger during the summer window.

However, he has already shown that he can bring some variety to Arteta’s side and will now be hoping to bring his excellent form for England into the clash with Nottingham Forest.

Noni Madueke could spark position change for Bukayo Saka

Madueke’s excellent start to the season has come from his play on the right flank, cutting in on his left foot and producing the goods.

Adrian Clarke thinks Bukayo Saka’s role could change at Arsenal and he goes to play on the troubled left wing for the Gunners.

Saka has good numbers playing in the position and it would allow for more crosses to be swung into the box for Viktor Gyokeres to attack rather than the likes of Gabriel Martinelli cutting back inside.

The Hale End star also attracts more than one defender on him, therefore it would open up more spaces and bring more of a balance to Arsenal’s attack.

Arteta could experiment with the tactical tweak upon Saka’s return with a host of games in the league and cup coming up in the schedule.
