Kai Havertz scored his 21st Germany goal as they beat Ghana tonight and the national media have given their verdicts on the Arsenal man.

Havertz has got some valuable playing time in the bank over this international break and netted from the spot before being withdrawn.

Interestingly, Havertz played a more unfamiliar role out on the right for the Germans but it seems that, in the main, he was impressive.

Kai Havertz’s Germany performance v Ghana rated

Havertz’s return right now is crucial for Arsenal and while the international break has been a bit of a nightmare for the Gunners in the main, his return is a plus.

Indeed, one outlet gave Havertz the midway score of 3/5, commenting on his composed play.

“The Arsenal striker, a left-footer, usually played on the right wing, delivering clever passes into the center. Cool and composed with the penalty for the 1-0, his 21st international goal. He was then allowed to shower.”

Meanwhile, another German outlet went one better, giving Havertz a 2 (the second highest score in German media ratings).

“Played on the unfamiliar right wing, but shone as an absolute live wire: Almost every attack went through Havertz, the striker distributing the ball and dribbling himself. He also scored the opening goal from the penalty spot.”

Can Kai Havertz help Arsenal while Noni Madueke is injured?

It’s good to see Havertz back and among the goals.

But what is interesting for Arsenal fans here is the idea of seeing Havertz on the right-hand side of the attack. It’s something we aren’t used to but clearly, something that has worked well here.

With Noni Madueke set to miss games for Arsenal through injury, this might end up being something that Mikel Arteta himself looks into doing.

Sure, we all know Arsenal see Havertz as a central player but after clearly doing well for his country out wide, it’s another string to the bow for the Gunners boss.

Thankfully, Havertz seems to have come through these games unscathed and can now play a crucial role in helping the Gunners over the line.
