From Thierry Henry to Patrick Vieira, every part of Wenger’s Invincible squad will be forever celebrated at Arsenal

The squad are dotted around the globe partaking in different activities in their retirement, with several taking up the familiar path of punditry.

Arsenal icons Gilberto Silva and Sol Campbell join forces once more

Gilberto, who was an integral part of Arsenal’s Invincible squad is using his time and experience to assist Chase in founding Striver.

The app is designed to create an abuse-free space for users to express their opinions on the beautiful game, expelling the ugliness that comes from social media nowadays.

Gilberto and Chase are the driving force behind Striver however, many other familiar faces have joined the movement, with ambassadors including Roberto Carlos, Sol Campbell and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.

In an interview with Sky Sports on the benefits of Striver, Gilberto admitted he’s ‘working harder’ than when he was on the pitch to get the app soaring.

“I have the possibility to help put the project on the market and support people to interact with others in a safe place. This is a key point for me.

“Now we are in the position to be able to generate awareness by saying maybe some people have been abused on the internet, but now you have Striver, where you can moderate the conversation and get the support.

“The idea is not to stop people talking. I can have a different opinion to you about football – that’s not a problem. The problem begins when you start abusing others.

“I think I’m working harder than when I was playing!”

Everyone is entitled to an opinion on football which is what makes the game so enjoyable however, there’s a point in which a line must be drawn, as Gilberto elaborated.

Gilberto’s career after Arsenal

It’s a heartwarming and incredibly important message that Gilberto is sending to the footballing world.

The Brazilian left North London back in 2008 after spending six memorable years at Arsenal, where he won the Premier League, two FA Cups and two Community Shields.

Upon leaving the Gunners, Gilberto spent three years in Greece with Panathinaikos before returning to his homeland, representing Gremio and ending his career where it started with Atletico Mineiro.

While the midfielder hung his boots up for good nine years ago, he’s still very much in touch with the game as he aims to tackle issues off the pitch as effectively as he did on it.
