Ozil & Sanchez confusion

There is some confusion over Mesut Ozil and the hamstring injury he picked up before the West Bromwich Albion match which saw the German pull out of the squad at the last minute. It seems strange that Ozil has turned up with Germany’s international squad with a view to training and playing. Not fit for Arsenal, but fit for Germany? It all seems a bit fishy to me. After Arsene Wenger described Alexis Sanchez ankle as ‘in an absolutely terrible state’ it looks like Alexis is fit enough to play for Chile. Sanchez posted on Instagram a picture of himself in Chile colours with the message ‘the only failure is not to try’. Wenger had taken Sanchez off during the second half explaining that he should not have played in the second half, but Sanchez insisted that he went out for the second half.

Giroud support

Olivier Giroud has pledged his support for manager Arsene Wenger and says the Gunners boss has the support of the squad. Giroud, speaking to Canal+ said “We want to see Arsene Wenger sign an extension. To continue the adventure, because we support him”. Giroud hopes the team can win the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League.

Super sub

Talking of Olivier Giroud, he is Arsenal’s super sub with four goals and two assists from 12 substitute appearances. A good reason to keep Giroud on the bench in my opinion.

Tuchel not to be

According to the Arsenal board, they have not had any contact with the Borussia Dortmund manager. According to Thomas Tuchel, who says he is under contract with Dortmund, he has no interest in a move to Arsenal. It would be a shock if the Arsenal board are not talking to potential targets with Wenger’s decision still up in the air and unknown.

Jack Wilshere

Eddie Howe would like to keep Jack Wilshere beyond this season’s loan deal. Despite Wilshere not starting the last three matches, Howe still regards the midfielder as a crucial player to his Bournemouth team.

Vieira house for sale

Patrick Vieira has put his Cheshire mansion up for sale sparking rumours he could take over from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman is currently in charge of New York City and is 10-1 in the betting. For those interested, the mansion is up for sell for £2.2m.

Crazy talk

We end with some crazy talk and Barcelona’s Neymar has admitted he loves the Premier League and admires Arsenal. He also admires Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea but that’s not important right now. We all need a dream don’t we, especially when things are at their lowest around the club..
