Harry Kane has hailed Bukayo Saka after the Arsenal winger’s crucial goal for England last night against Switzerland at Euro 2024.
The 22-year-old attacker scored one of his most important international goals to date as Saka’s 80th-minute equaliser sent England into extra-time and then penalties against Switzerland, where the Arsenal star again scored to book the Three Lions’ place in the semi-finals.
Winning praise from the likes of David Beckham, Saka enjoyed arguably his finest moment yet in an England shirt, with the attacker putting away his penalty and exercising the demons from Euro 2020 a true high point of this summer’s competition.
And England captain Kane has now given his verdict on Saka’s performance last night against Switzerland.

Kane lauds Saka after ‘unbelievable’ England goal vs Switzerland
Speaking to the BBC after England’s triumph in the penalty shootout, the Bayern Munich striker was full of praise for Saka after his efforts throughout the game, with the Arsenal star playing the entire 120 minutes for the Three Lions.
Indeed, Saka showed why he’s one of the best attackers in the world in Dusseldorf last night, and former Tottenham forward Kane was proud of his international teammate’s heroics for England against Switzerland.

Kane said on Saka’s performance: “Fantastic finish from B, he deserves that, unbelievable, to play a new position as well, I know he has played there before, but different position to what he is used to. I know he has been eager to help the team and get on the scoresheet.
“To play the way he did for all 120 minutes, not just with the ball but without the ball as well, you could see at the end he was knackered. Then to show and step up and do what he had done and score the penalty in the manner that he had done, really special, So, couldn’t be prouder of him and all the boys.”

Saka has finally arrived at Euro 2024 for the Three Lions
Saka’s performances for England this summer, like every member of the Three Lions squad, had been disappointing up until now, with the Arsenal star finally arriving at the tournament in some style.
The 22-year-old has been one of England’s most efficient players since breaking into Gareth Southgate’s set-up as a teenager, with Saka now one of the talismanic figures in the attack alongside Kane and Jude Bellingham.
And last night saw Saka at last put his foot down at Euro 2024 with a performance for the ages for England, with a semi-final encounter with the Netherlands now on the table for the Three Lions.
