Harry Kane says one Arsenal player has been simply ‘fantastic’ this season

Harry Kane is no longer a Tottenham Hotspur player, but he still seems to be keeping an eye on Arsenal.

The England international has returned to North London with his Bayern Munich teammates to take on the Gunners in the Champions League.

Arsenal are expected to be Bayern’s toughest challenge of the season so far, and Kane is fully aware of the brilliance of some of Mikel Arteta’s players.

He has now had his say on three of them, including Declan Rice.

Rice is one of Arsenal’s most important players.

The England international cost a fortune in the summer of 2023, but he has been so good that nobody has talked about his price tag.

Rice was brilliant in his debut season, and he was even better in the following campaign. Since the start of this term, however, he seems to have taken his game to a whole new level.

Harry Kane knows Rice very well from the England camp, and the same is the case with Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze.

He has now had his say on all three of them, but Rice, whom he hails as ‘fantastic’, seems to have impressed him the most.

Kane told TNT Sports Mexico: “The English guys are doing well. Obviously Dec’s having a fantastic season, Bukayo, Ebs…

“Ebs has come into a new team and hit the ground running, which is never easy.

“But I think their biggest strength is actually their squad and their unit as a team. They have been working with their manager now for quite a long time, and you can see some of the good habits they have built up over the years. There’s a reason they’re at the top of the Premier League right now.”

What makes Declan Rice so good?

Rice often gets dragged into debates with other players like Moises Caicedo when talking about who the best midfielder is in the Premier League.

The Chelsea star is excellent and deserves all the praise he has been getting this season. But he isn’t on Rice’s level yet.

The reason for that is consistency.

Rice delivers at least a 7/10 performance in every single game. His consistency since joining Arsenal has been unbelievable – no other midfielder comes close.

That, combined with his talent, availability and his productivity in the final third, makes him the best midfielder in the country.
