Thierry Henry drew an awkward response out of Harry Kane when the Arsenal legend
took aim at Tottenham Hotspur after Bayern Munich’s win in the Champions League.
Der FCB beat Manchester United 4-3 on Wednesday to start the Bundesliga giant’s Group A campaign. Kane struck one of the Bavarian powerhouse’s goals to give Thomas Tuchel’s side a 3-1 lead. Casemiro hauled the Red Devils level, only for Mathys Tel’s stoppage-time winner.
Kane has now scored five goals and assisted two in six appearances for Bayern Munich since leaving Tottenham this summer. Spurs cashed in on the 30-year-old after he entered the last year of his contract in north London. His move earned Tottenham £86m, rising up to £100m.

Tottenham visit Arsenal without talisman Kane on Sunday
The England captain was Spurs’ absolute talisman and Kane left Tottenham as their record goalscorer, as well. He hit the net 280 times and assisted another 64 from 435 appearances in all competitions. Kane’s goal tally at Tottenham included scoring 14 times against Arsenal.
Only Leicester City (20 in 20 games) and Everton (16 from 17 games) let in more goals than Arsenal (14 in 19 games) to Kane for Tottenham. His goals helped Spurs win seven and draw a further five north London derbies. He won once at Emirates Stadium in an EFL Cup fixture.

Arsenal got the better of Tottenham over both north London derbies in Kane’s final Premier League season. He failed to help Spurs avoid 3-1 and 2-0 defeats, despite scoring a penalty at the Emirates. The forward ended the 2022/23 term with 30 goals in 38 top-flight games.
Henry draws an awkward response from Spurs hero Kane
Tottenham will wish they still had Kane to hand when Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs visit Arsenal in the league on Sunday. The mind games have also already started, it seems, as Henry took aim at his old foe following Kane’s goal to help Bayern Munich beat Manchester United 4-3.

Kane spoke after the Champions League tie with CBS Sports, who cut away from speaking to Gabriel Jesus. Henry interjected after Kane joked that it was the Arsenal legend’s decision to switch away from the Gunners star who helped beat PSV and quickly took aim at Tottenham.
“Congratulations. First and foremost, I have a question but I wanted to tell you something,” Henry told Kane. “You look good in red and white. Sorry, I had to say it.”
Kane looked to the sky as he begrudgingly joked off Henry’s comment while the Arsenal icon laughed profusely. The forward was visibly awkward as he weighed up how best to respond.
