It has finally happened! Arsenal have signed Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season and that is a fantastic bit of business.
The Norwegian is an excellent attacking midfielder and he offers some much needed help to Emile Smith Rowe in the number 10 role.
Odegaard has had a torrid time at Real Madrid this season. He was one step away from re-joining Real Sociedad on loan, but Arsenal’s interest, combined with Dani Ceballos’ convincing skills, helped us get our man.

Agent Dani helped us sign Odegaard
“Yes, he [Dani] texted me the other day and he had only good things to say about the club, the manager and everything,” Odegaard said about Ceballos on Arsenal.com.
“That was also important for me and he was happy for me to come here, so that was a good thing for me, to know someone here and to hear from someone inside the club as well. It’s good.”

Arsenal don’t have an option to buy Odegaard or Ceballos permanently. The chances of signing the former on a long-term deal is arguably more difficult but anything is possible at the end of this season.
Fabrizio Romano revealed recently that Real Madrid have agreed to discuss the futures of the Norwegian as well as the Spaniard at the end of this season.
That should give some hope to Arsenal fans over signing the duo permanently, but a lot will depend on how everything unfolds from now until the end of this season.
