Arsenal have a squad filled with top-class players.

The Gunners are challenging for the Premier League title for the fourth year in a row, and they are in contention to win the Champions League and Carabao Cup as well.

That is all down to Mikel Arteta’s brilliance and the fantastic players he has signed over the last few years.

Swedish legend Henrik Larsson is a big fan of two of them – Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard.

Is Declan Rice’s new song the best Arsenal fan chant? If not, which is?

Henrik Larsson says Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are the best players in the world in their position

Arsenal signed Odegaard in 2021, initially on loan, but that was made permanent half a season later.

The Norwegian became a big hit at the Emirates and was even named as the captain. He is a hugely respected member of the squad and is a terrific player.

Rice, on the other hand, joined Arsenal in 2023 for a club-record fee. The England international has rarely ever put a foot wrong and is one of the biggest reasons why the Gunners are so good today.

Both players are definitely world-class, but are they the best in the world? Larsson certainly thinks so.

On We Are The Overlap, the Celtic icon was asked to name the best defensive midfielder in the world today, and he immediately replied: “Declan Rice!”

Then, when asked to name the best attacking midfielder in the game, Larsson replied: “I’ll go for Odegaard!”

Henrik Larsson should offer some advice to another Arsenal player

Larsson was an outstanding striker back in the day.

During his time at Celtic, the Swede scored 227 goals and provided 65 assists in 301 games, which is an outrageous return. He also scored 37 times for his national team.

Although football has changed a lot since he retired, a striker like Larsson knows what it takes to score goals, which is why he should have a word or two with his compatriot, Viktor Gyokeres.

The Arsenal number 14 has struggled to find the net in recent months, and his movement inside the box has been a major concern.

Some advice from Larsson could be a game-changer for Gyokeres, but whether it will happen is anyone’s guess.
