Premier League legends Robbie Keane and David Seaman have selected their all-time North London derby XI.

Arsenal and Tottenham meet in the North London derby next in the Premier League, with the two clubs ready to battle for three points.

As always, it’s set to be a feisty affair between the two squads managed by Mikel Arteta and Ange Postecoglou.

Both Arsenal and Spurs will be looking to bounce back in the league, as the hosts suffered defeat to Newcastle last time out, whereas the Gunners are looking to right their wrongs following their draw with Brighton.

While football today is different to what it used to be, the animosity between Arsenal and Tottenham remains, with plenty of memories coming from the fixture.

Robbie Keane and David Seaman name Arsenal and Spurs combined XI

Compiling an Arsenal and Spurs combined lineup will always start a fire, with opinions split whether it be from the early days of the Premier League or the class of 2024/25.

Sitting down to approach the topic were two former players who know the fixture all too well, as David Seaman and Robbie Keane selected their combined side.

The duo created a combined XI based on those who have played in the Premier League for the two sides, making for an interesting result.

Seaman was quick to select himself between the posts, with the debate then turning to the defence, as an Arsenal-heavy back four was created.

There was no question over the inclusions of Ashley Cole, Tony Adams and Lee Dixon, with Ledley King being Keane’s pick to attempt to balance the side.

The rest of the XI was more balanced, as Gareth Bale and Luca Modric made the midfield, paired by Patrick Vieira and Arteta’s own Bukayo Saka

Saka was the only current player to be named in the XI, as the front line was a fusion of the clinical Harry Kane and Thierry Henry.

No room for Heung-min Son or Dennis Bergkamp

Neither side will be satisfied with the predicted XI, as Spurs fans would like to see more of their players, whereas Arsenal would like to think they deserve the full XI.

There was a stumbling block over the omission of Dennis Bergkamp, with an agreement made between the two club legends that the front two were to be split.

Henry and Kane are formidable figures in the North London derby, making for possibly the first combined XI without the Dutchman included.

Another snub from the lineup was Spurs forward Heung-min Son, as the Tottenham captain was not even mentioned as being in the running to make the star squad.

The Korean has made himself into a North London derby icon, contributing to 10 goals from the 20 games he’s played against the Gunners.

With Bergkamp snubbed and Son ignored, it’s down to the current crop of players to do the talking, as Arsenal travel to N17 next in the Premier League.
