After another blunt attacking display on Saturday, Arsenal fans are now demanding that Mikel Arteta tries Kai Havertz as a striker.
Havertz made a rare appearance on the right side of Arsenal’s midfield three against Newcastle and did have some strong moments.

And although he received his fair share of criticism, as he regularly does at Arsenal, Havertz showed signs that he can lead the line for Mikel Arteta.
Eddie Nketiah failed to act as a focal point for The Gunners, and hasn’t built on his hat-trick against Sheffield United in the away trips that followed.
Therefore, many Arsenal fans are now calling for Havertz to be given an opportunity as Arsenal’s leading man.
Arteta tried it in the Community Shield, and although he missed his chances that day, Havertz looked very exciting in the role.
And with Arsenal creating very little of late, fans think it’s time to experiment.
Arsenal fans call for Arteta to give Havertz a go at striker
Taking to X to air their thoughts, one fan said: “I think Arteta may need to use Havertz up front for the games that Jesus is unavailable for. One thing is clear – we need a striker.”
Another fan said: “His best position is either striker or second striker. I hope Arteta is gonna give up the Havertz LCM Odegaard Second Striker gimmick.
“I don’t rate Kai but once again Mikel doesn’t help by mis-profiling.”

And another fan thought Havertz was just being underrated altogether: “Kai Havertz is underrated.”
It’s certainly a tough call for Mikel Arteta to make given all of the situations he is juggling at Arsenal.
But with Nketiah proving so inconsistent, it may be time for Arteta to listen to Arsenal fans and give Havertz a go.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is another Arsenal star who may benefit from a positional tweak.
The full-back has found himself on the bench of late given Takehiro Tomiyasu is now considered a more robust alternative.
But with Zinchenko still boasting an amazing skillset, there’s merit to him now being given a chance in midfield.
Zinchenko often plays in midfield for his country, and may now be a solution for Arteta as a number eight at Arsenal.
