Emmanuel Eboue is arguably the funniest player to play for Arsenal, and the Ivorian’s antics even had Queen Elizabeth II burst out laughing.
Buckingham Palace announced this evening that the Queen sadly passed away at the age of 96. “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow,” the statement read.

It is no secret that the Queen of England was a fan of Arsenal. It was revealed in 2007 that she had been supporting the Gunners for over 50 years.
That revelation became public after Arsene Wenger and his players were invited to Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen in February 2007.
Eboue, an Arsenal cult hero of sorts, later revealed how he made a request to the Queen at the reception that led to Her Majesty, Prince Phillip and everyone else present there burst out laughing.
The Ivorian said in an interview with The Telegraph: “We went there and Thierry Henry said to me: ‘Please, Emmanuel, this is Buckingham Palace, it’s the Queen’s house, don’t do anything.’
“‘No problem,’ I said. ‘Don’t worry’.
“So, the Queen came in and went along shaking each player’s hand. After she’d finished I saw all her corgis so I said, ‘Ma’am, Ma’am’.
“She turned back and asked, ‘How are you?’ and I said, ‘Ma’am, I am OK thank you but please, I don’t want to be a footballer anymore, I want to look after your dogs. I want to take them for walks, wash them, feed them. I want to be a dog carer.
“The Queen, honestly, she was laughing. Prince Philip was laughing too. All the team were laughing.”
Premier League matches could get cancelled this weekend
Following the Queen’s passing today, there’s a serious possibility that Premier League games will be cancelled this weekend.
Football London reveal that a decision will be made by the DCMS (Department for Culture, Media and Sport).
A DCMS spokesperson reportedly told The Daily Star that no “strict sporting guidance” would be given and the decision would be left down to specific sports, including football.
However, it has been claimed that if games have been scheduled to take place on the day of the Queen’s funeral, they will all be cancelled.
