How Arsenal fans can meet Invincibles legend Dennis Bergkamp ahead of Liverpool clash

Arsenal supporters will soon be given the opportunity to meet and interact with club icon Dennis Bergkamp. 

Arsenal will host Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium for a Premier League clash on Sunday, but a club hero will be returning to the North London ground before then. 

Dennis Bergkamp will be returning to Arsenal to meet fans of the club. This represents a rare opportunity for supporters to interact with one the of the club’s all-time greats, who has been immortalised in statue form in the shadow of the Emirates Stadium itself.

When and where Arsenal fans can meet Dennis Bergkamp

As advertised on the club’s official website, Bergkamp will be present at the Armoury store on Saturday, October 26th, the day before Liverpool’s visit to North London. 

Between 3-5pm on Saturday, fans will be able to meet and interact with the 79-cap former Netherlands international at this signing event.

This event is: “Celebrating the launch of a brand-new official licensed product – the Dennis Bergkamp Collectible Note created with The Global Note.”

Fans must buy this £25 piece of memorabilia in order to meet Bergkamp.

Dennis Bergkamp’s Arsenal legacy

Bergkamp is a bona fide Arsenal legend. The Dutchman joined the Gunners in the summer of 1995, shortly before the appointment of Arsene Wenger.

The forward went on to make 423 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 120 goals, across all competitions. He remained at the club until he hung up his boots in 2006. The first match ever played at the Emirates Stadium was Bergkamp’s testimonial, as Arsenal celebrated his career with a game against his former club, Ajax.

In his Arsenal career, the 55-year-old was able to get his hands on plenty of silverware, as he won three Premier League titles and three FA Cups.

Bergkamp was a key figure in the 2003/04 squad that won the Premier League title without losing a single match in the competition all season, earning themselves the ‘Invincibles’ nickname.

Bergkamp has reflected upon those glory days, and will be hoping that Mikel Arteta can bring such success back to Arsenal. The Spanish coach has made the Gunners genuine title contenders again in recent seasons and the time has now come for him to deliver a trophy.
