Eddie Nketiah was one of Hale End’s biggest stars when he left the academy and started to feature in the Arsenal senior team.

The striker had put himself firmly in the thoughts of Mikel Arteta’s team selection when he started to show the goal-scoring impact he could have.

However, after a difficult 2023/24 season for Eddie Nketiah, who was given few opportunities, a decision to leave had been made.

Arsenal sold Nketiah to Crystal Palace for a fee worth roughly £25million, with the forward in search of a new challenge.

Since then, the 25-year-old has been looking to make a name for himself with the Eagles, with a reunion back at the Emirates Stadium on the cards for the star of his new team.

So with that said, here’s a look at how Eddie Nketiah has done since leaving Arsenal in the summer.

How Eddie Nketiah has fared since leaving Arsenal

Eddie Nketiah featured on the bench for Arsenal’s first two games of the Premier League season, though he was unused against both Wolves and Aston Villa.

He was then unavailable for the following week, with his completion of a transfer to Crystal Palace putting him into their squad.

The striker’s debut came in a 2-2 draw with Leicester City, where he played all 90 minutes on the right wing rather than at centre-forward.

His minutes have since dwindled, with just one assist in the league to show for his efforts under Oliver Glasner so far.

The EFL Cup has been a bit kinder to Nketiah so far, with his only goal in Palace colours coming in his two appearances in the competition.

His struggles so far indicate that it may be a bit tougher for him to ease into action with the Eagles than it may have been expected.

Eddie Nketiah’s Arsenal record and statistics

In his career at the Emirates Stadium, Nketiah made over 150 appearances for Arsenal, which included over 30 goals.

As a squad player, he provided something many of the other forwards at the club lacked, which was an ability to find the back of the net when in the penalty box.

While he is yet to show that for Crystal Palace, it has been a piece of the puzzle that’s missing for the Gunners this season.

There would’ve been plenty of hope that Nketiah could’ve secured himself as a long-term option for the side, but it never quite worked out.

Meanwhile, for Arsenal, the search is still ongoing to find the clinical centre forward that could take them to the title.
