Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has had his say on Arsenal as both teams enter the business end of the season today.
The Gunners are currently eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, while the defending champions, who have a game in hand, can reduce that gap to just five points if they win their early game against Liverpool today at lunchtime.
Guardiola backs his side to overtake Arsenal but has admitted that he’d much rather be in Mikel Arteta’s position right now.

Pep Guardiola says Arsenal will not drop too many points
Arsenal have been the best team in the Premier League this season.
We have played some amazing football, almost every single one of our players has delivered, and the fact that we’ve lost just three games all season despite having one of the youngest squads in Europe shows just how good we are.
Arsenal completely deserve to be where we are right now, and Pep Guardiola, who seems impressed, says he has a feeling that the Gunners will not drop too many points from now until the end of this season.
He said in his press conference yesterday, as relayed by Hayters TV: “I would love to be in the position of Arsenal, rather than have the experience of winning four Premier Leagues in five years. The advantage is that they are eight points in front of us, this is the real advantage. The past is the past, experience doesn’t count. Absolutely nothing.
“They have many points still to play for, many games to play, and a lot of things can happen. For the consistency Arsenal have shown this season, one game a week, out of FA Cup and out of the Europa League. With one game a week, you can have an incredible focus and you can prepare.
“I have a feeling they won’t drop that many points.”

The Insider’s View:
There are 10 games left in the Premier League this season, and there will not be any easy fixtures for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal or Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The Gunners take on Leeds United this afternoon and the Whites are fighting for survival. They will do everything they possibly can to get something from this game, which makes it a lot more difficult for us than it otherwise would’ve been.
Manchester City play first today – they host Liverpool. The Reds have had an awful campaign so far this season, but they have already beaten the champions once – hopefully, they can do that again.
If City drop points today and Arsenal win, our lead at the top of the table will extend to double digits. That would make Arsenal the firm favourites to win the Premier League title ahead of Guardiola’s side next month.
