Tottenham need an immediate bounce considering their circumstances; meanwhile, the Gunners desperately need a win in the North London derby following their 2-2 draw at Wolves.

Mikel Arteta should be slightly concerned about the prospect of facing a Spurs team that could quite possibly be set for a new manager bounce.

Arsenal should be worried about Igor Tudor’s record

Igor Tudor is a manager who thrives in tough situations, and at Tottenham, he certainly faces that, with his first game against Arsenal.

Last season, the 47-year-old transformed Juventus’ fortunes, coming in when they were struggling and helping them qualify for the Champions League.

During his time at Udinese in 2018, he found a team that had lost 11 in a row, but completed the unthinkable by keeping them in Serie A.

Now, he must keep Spurs in the Premier League, and his first game is a North London derby at home to Arsenal.

But for the Gunners, the last thing they need is to face their bitter rivals, who are fighting to stay up and hoping for a new manager bounce.

The former Juve team is likely to deploy a back-three in his first match and will be hoping to give this Spurs team more energy to fight.

Speaking ahead of the derby, Tudor warned Arsenal: “This derby is a fantastic game to play. We want to play this game in a way that our fans will like.

“So, I’m going to give everything that we have, in the right way, brave, but in the same way intelligent and smart, to achieve what we want, and that’s the victory.”

Tottenham and Arsenal are both facing an injury crisis

Tottenham and Arsenal both head into the North London derby facing big injury crises.

Spurs are set to be without 12 players, including Cristian Romero, who is suspended after his red card against Man United.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are hoping to have Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz back, but are still without Mikel Merino and Max Dowman.

Bukayo Saka went off injured against Wolves; however, the winger is likely to be fit for the North London derby.
