Martin Odegaard remains injured for Arsenal ahead of taking on Everton and the midfielder has revealed he is ‘desperate’ to get back on the field.
Odegaard’s absence has impacted Arsenal in recent weeks although it has given the likes of Eberechi Eze the chance to step into the void.
Ahead of taking Everton on today, Odegaard was hoping to be back playing but it seems like he will miss out again.
What changes would you make to our predicted XI vs Everton?
Martin Odegaard confirms injury ahead of Everton
Odegaard hasn’t been at his very best this season but he is still a miss, especially with the Gunners going into crunch time in the season.
Still, it appears the game with Everton will come too soon for Odegaard.
“I’m desperate to get back to playing as soon as I can. It’s been difficult for me with the knee injury lately, but I’m working as hard as I can to get back to full fitness now,” Odegaard commented in his program notes.

Arsenal’s good record without Martin Odegaard
While we will all acknowledge that Martin Odegaard is a key player for Arsenal, the record when he doesn’t play is actually brilliant.
During the course of this season, Arsenal are yet to lose when Odegaard hasn’t been involved.
The Gunners have won seven and drawn three from the ten games Odegaard has missed, compared to the 13 wins in 20 games – with four draws – that have happened.
Ultimately, it proves Arsenal can cope without their captain but in the main, he is key for this squad and the Gunners very much need him fit and firing in the run in.
