Jack Wilshere’s career at Arsenal will be remembered for the breakout moments he had with the club before moving on.
The midfielder came through the Hale End academy, working his way through the age ranks until it was time to make an impact on the senior team.
Many will remember Wilshere’s performance against Barcelona, where he managed to stun an incredible midfield that included Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
In the end, Wilshere spent ten years in the senior team before moving on and eventually calling time on his playing career.
There were plenty of high-profile stars, but one former Arsenal man appears to stand above the rest for the ex-England international.

Jack Wilshere says Cesc Fabregas is the best player he ever played with
The Arsenal squad has been full of talent over the years as the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have all come and gone at the Emirates Stadium.
While Wilshere had opportunities to play with some of those, none top the list for the best star he has played with.
For the midfielder, it was his old central ranks partner Cesc Fabregas, as he revealed in a discussion with TNT Sports.
As per Transfermarkt, Fabregas and Wilshere played together a total of 32 times, picking up 20 wins, six draws and six defeats.
It was a pairing that only lasted a few seasons, however, as the Spaniard would later go on to join Barcelona.
Thierry Henry once stated that Fabregas “changed” Arsene Wenger, with the Arsenal boss transforming the team around the Spaniard.
He was that good, the Gunners had to make some moves to fit him in; however, it was at Barcelona where one of Wilshere’s other idols played.

Jack Wilshere’s admiration for Lionel Messi
While Wilshere has revealed his admiration for Cesc Fabregas, he has also revealed how he feels about Lionel Messi.
The former Arsenal man claimed that Messi was the one star he wished that he played alongside, but never did.
He then also revealed that the ex-Barcelona star’s shirt is the best that he ever swapped for, which came in that breakout game he featured in.
Wilshere won’t have been the only one to take such an admiration of Messi, given his overall impact on the game and the quality he produced.
