Jadon Sancho has given his verdict on who has the best left foot in English football.

When tasked with building his ultimate England player via TNT Sports’ TikTok, Sancho was asked to pick the best left foot in the country.

Without hesitation, he chose Arsenal star Bukayo Saka — most notably over Cole Palmer and Phil Foden.

Palmer and Foden both fantastic players, and both boast devastating quality with their left feet. However, Saka is arguably more efficient and intelligent as a player, and more well-rounded.

As a right winger, he is undoubtedly better. In terms of pure quality of their left foot, there is a debate to be had.

🤔 Which Arsenal players are missing from the UCL Team of the Season?

But Jadon Sancho is really close friends with Saka, so it is unsurprising he opted for the Arsenal man.

And besides, there is only one of them going to the World Cup.

Thomas Tuchel opts for Bukayo Saka over Phil Foden and Cole Palmer

Palmer and Foden were both left out of England’s 26-man squad, with Thomas Tuchel even preferring Saka’s understudy Noni Madueke over either of them.

That said, Saka has faced questions about his form this season, with Joe Cole among those to note that he has been less effective in the final third than in previous campaigns.

He has scored seven goals and assisted five in 31 Premier League appearances. Those aren’t bad numbers but for a player of Saka’s reputation you would expect more.

Yet even in a below-par season by his standards, Sancho still considers him the best left foot in the country.

That says everything about the levels Saka has set throughout his career and the respect he has among his England teammates.
