Thierry Henry is the greatest goalscorer Arsenal have ever had.
The former striker is a true Arsenal legend, and has even been immortalised in statue form outside the Emirates Stadium.
Thierry Henry is the top goalscorer in the Gunners’ history, having netted 228 times in 377 appearances for the North London club, across all competitions.
Working under Arsene Wenger, he was a talismanic figure for Arsenal in a golden period of the club’s history, as he fired his side to two Premier League titles and two FA Cups.

Thierry Henry admits to rage moments
Whilst Henry will always be remembered as a great goalscorer, he has now admitted to former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher that finding the back of the net was not the aspect of the game that gave him the greatest pleasure.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, the Frenchman explained: “If you look at my career, it’s so funny, when you see the goals, my goals, you saw rage. You rarely saw smiling. Look at my assists, I smile. Just look at it, I smile. Goals, I never did.”
Carragher then asked Henry if he preferred providing assists to scoring goals.
The Arsenal icon confessed: “Yes. I said that so many times, people thought I was just trying to be humble. I preferred assists than a goal, yes. No goalscorer will tell you that.”
This revelation will likely come as a shock to many fans of the North London outfit. However, the fact that Henry was able to provide 93 assists in an Arsenal shirt proves that he took his creative duties seriously.
Thierry Henry takes aim at current Arsenal squad
Whilst Henry has been honest about his own career, he has also made his feelings clear about Mikel Arteta’s current squad.
After the Gunners dropped valuable Premier League points against Everton last time out, Henry has criticised how Arsenal play, deeming their attacking efforts to be too predictable. This is a long-term issue that Arteta has been as yet unable to solve.
On top of that, Henry took aim at Gabriel Martinelli, calling out the Brazilian winger for failing to make the best use of his natural attributes and qualities.
This current crop of Arsenal players would do well to listen to Henry, and recognise that there is a great deal that they could learn from the former striker.
