Arsenal and Liverpool are expected to compete fiercely for the Premier League title this season, and Jarrod Bowen has revealed who he believes will take the crown.

Liverpool beat Arsenal at Anfield in the last fixture before the international break, with Dominik Szoboszlai’s spectacular free-kick the difference in a tight game at Anfield.

This result sees the Merseysiders move three points clear of the Gunners, after both sides won their first two matches of the campaign.

The Reds completed the signing of Alexander Isak on deadline day, prompting many to view Arne Slot’s team as the firm favourites to lift the title come May.

Jarrod Bowen reveals who he thinks will win the Premier League title

Alongside Isak, Liverpool added Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez to their squad this summer.

The north-west outfit now have an exceptional set of players at their disposal, although there are arguably some glaring holes in certain areas of the pitch.

Slot is heavily reliant on Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate staying fit at centre-back, while they’ve arguably not acquired the defensive midfielder they needed.

Meanwhile, Arsenal spent in excess of £250 million on eight players and subsequently have outstanding depth in every position.

Despite the Gunners’ squad looking healthier in terms of numbers, Jarrod Bowen believes Liverpool’s firepower will carry them to glory.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the West Ham forward was asked who he’s backing to win the Premier League this season.

“Liverpool,” he responded, affirmatively.

Jarrod Bowen predicts the Champions League winner

As well as being asked for his Premier League title winner, Bowen was asked who he thinks will win the division’s golden boot and which team will win the Champions League.

Unsurprisingly, the England international backed Erling Haaland to come away from the campaign as the English top flight’s top scorer, ignoring Isak and Arsenal’s new number nine, Viktor Gyokeres.

He went a step further and dismissed the Gunners from another prize, naming Real Madrid as the team he expects to win the Champions League.

Not confident in Arsenal to enjoy a successful campaign, Declan Rice will undoubtedly be determined to prove his old teammate wrong and deliver silverware to N5.

If the Gunners don’t win a trophy this season, then Mikel Arteta may be under some pressure heading into next season.
