Julian Alvarez swap deal offered

Arsenal transfer target Julian Alvarez is the subject of interest from elsewhere as he looks set to potentially leave Manchester City this summer.

The Argentinian striker has played over 100 matches for Manchester City since joining in 2022, scoring 36 goals.

Following an impressive summer with Argentina, where he featured in both the Copa America and the Olympics, doubts over his future under Pep Guardiola have crept in.

Arsenal could look to take advantage and bolster their centre-forward ranks as their search for a new striker continues.

However, it looks as though there is competition for Alvarez as the Daily Mail reports that Atletico Madrid have already made an offer.

The Spanish giants are claimed to have offered Joao Felix on an initial loan with an option to buy in the deal as well as cash.

Man City are believed to value Alvarez at £85million for an overall package – with £75million wanted up front.

It remains to be seen whether City will accept the offer, but it’s thrown down the gauntlet to Arsenal in the race.

Dominic Solanke on Arsenal connection

Dominic Solanke is another centre-forward who has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal this summer, following an impressive season at AFC Bournemouth.

The former Chelsea and Liverpool striker netted 19 Premier League goals last season, helping a new-look Cherries side climb up the table under Andoni Iraola.

With those performances naturally bringing about interest, recent reports have stated that a £65million clause exists in Solanke’s contract that could allow for his release.

With Arsenal seemingly in the race for his signature, an old clip revealing a connection between the striker and the club has resurfaced.

A clip from back in May of the forward speaking to BBC Match of the Day has shown his true feelings to the club.

“Would have probably been Arsenal,” Solanke said on the first shirt he ever received. “Yeah, my dad was an Arsenal fan, so I used to follow them. I went to a few Emirates Cups, back in the day.

“Back in the day, when you’re young, you love watching football and stuff.

“When you actually, like, grow up and you start playing against the teams, it’s a bit hard to support a team.”

Whether that connection could help the Gunners in their efforts to land Solanke is still unknown, but it may give them a boost.

Arsenal join Adrien Rabiot transfer race

Another position that looks set to be strengthened this summer is the midfield as Mikel Arteta looks to bring extra bodies to boost his ranks.

One of the latest to be linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium is former Juventus star Adrien Rabiot.

According to TuttoJuve, Arteta is keen on a deal for the midfielder to help bring experience and quality to the team.

Rabiot has won 24 trophies in his time playing for Juventus, PSG and France, becoming a key part of the engine room in that time.

The 29-year-old is a free agent since leaving Juventus, which has also opened up other teams to show their interest.

Liverpool and Real Madrid are claimed to be in the race for the Frenchman, though it remains to be seen how much of a threat they may be to the Gunners.
