Arsenal supporters may well be frustrated by the latest antics from Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Whilst Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has come under fire for some of his celebrations this season, Jurgen Klopp’s own exuberant behaviour at Liverpool seems to be escaping scrutiny.
Earlier on this season, after the Gunners beat Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium to reignite their Premier League title hopes, Arteta was accused of lacking “class” and “dignity” due to the passionate nature of his celebrations following the final whistle.
Iconic former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher also took issue with Martin Odegaard, as the Arsenal club captain celebrated on the pitch at the end of the ga,e.
This was not the first time, in this current campaign alone, that the Gunners have been called out and mocked for their celebrations. The same thing happened when Arsenal secured a dramatic 4-3 win against Luton Town.
On Wednesday night, whilst the north London club were in Champions League action, Liverpool themselves hosted Luton Town at Anfield in a Premier League clash. After conceding early on, the Reds ultimately fought back to earn a fairly comfortable 4-1 win over the promoted side.

Jurgen Klopp dodges ire aimed at Mikel Arteta
Of course, the Merseyside outfit were heavy favourites heading into the match, and were expected to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table. Despite nothing especially surprising having come to pass, though, Klopp still did not restrain himself as he basked in the victory with the home fans.
As Liverpool posted on their own official X page, the German coach could be seen aiming celebratory fist pumps to all four corners of the ground.
There is nothing wrong with this. Klopp, any Liverpool player, and the Liverpool fans are all well within their rights to celebrate to any extent that they feel is fit. Of course, the club are also currently riding on a wave of emotion, knowing that this will be the manager’s last season at the helm.
However, Arsenal fans may well feel aggrieved by the fact that, despite there being no outrage or outcry at Klopp’s behaviour, Arteta was vilified by many for exerting almost identical behaviour, in arguably even more deserving circumstances.
Of course, the Gunners’ boss had his defenders. Arsenal legend Ian Wright spoke out passionately in support of Arteta amidst the criticism that was being aimed his way from elsewhere after the win over Liverpool.
In any case, this apparent hypocrisy is unlikely to sit well with many of the Emirates Stadium faithful.
