Kai Havertz has named the two Arsenal players he admits he loves playing alongside since joining the club last summer.
The Germany international was a surprise £65m signing from Chelsea as Arsenal made the interesting decision to seemingly replace Granit Xhaka with Havertz.
Whilst the 24-year-old endured a rough start, Havertz has now found his feet with Arsenal, with the midfielder now a regular for Mikel Arteta having won the trust and the support of fans.
And speaking to Sky Sports News, Havertz revealed that he is enjoying playing alongside Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, with the trio forming an interesting midfield for Arsenal.
Havertz said when asked about his new Arsenal midfield teammates: “We [Havertz, Odegaard and Rice] are all young, I think we are a similar age group. It’s amazing to play with them.
“They’re both top players and we are still getting used to each other, it is only five months that we’ve know each other. Hopefully there’s a big future ahead of us as well.”

Havertz’s first year at Arsenal has been a mix between brilliant performances to moments of frustration mixed in with general questions around what the 24-year-old’s future role at the club actually is.
The former Chelsea man thrived on Sunday against Liverpool in the centre-forward role as Havertz dominated space and created chances for his teammates in the attacking third.
Yet with Arsenal in the market for a striker, a shift back to midfield could be on the cards for Havertz, and there’s every chance that the German international can become a star for the Gunners in this role.
It might still take some time to fully learn the ropes, but there’s a good chance that Havertz can make it at Arsenal, and the versatile talent has all the tools needed to become a star for the north London side.
