Arsenal were left frustrated yet again as they made the trip to Old Trafford, where they were held to a draw against Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for the home side before Declan Rice levelled the game up to take a point back to North London.

Mikel Arteta will have little time to reflect on another disappointing result as PSV Eindhoven awaits in the Champions League round of 16 second leg.

So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day of action.

Arsenal draw with Manchester United in huge clash

Arsenal will be left frustrated as they dropped yet more points in the Premier League after a draw with Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes gave the home side the lead, placing his free-kick into the back of the net from around 25 yards out.

While Declan Rice did level the game, there was frustration as the Gunners failed to turn possession into chances and goals.

Those frustrations may also be directed at referee Anthony Taylor who made an error in the lead-up to the Man United goal.

The official measured out 11.2 yards for the free-kick wall, instead of the expected ten yards, which may have played a part in the ball going in.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli injury update

Arsenal are braced for some better news on the injury front as some of their key forwards are closing in on a return.

Gabriel Martinelli featured off the bench for the Gunners as they took on Manchester United on Sunday evening, coming as a boost.

As well as the Brazilian, The Athletic reports that Bukayo Saka is expected to make a return to the side this month.

David Ornstein gives update on Andrea Berta to Arsenal

Arsenal have agreed a move that will make Andrea Berta their new sporting director, according to David Ornstein.

The reporter has stated that the Italian is set to take over soon, with his first remit being on the upcoming transfer window.

Speaking on NBC, he said on the market: “I’m sure he’ll work heavily on recruitment, which is the area which all Arsenal fans are focusing at the moment.

“Arsenal in the summer are going to have a big window I’m sure, they’re looking to sign a striker, they would really like to do a deal for Alexander Isak. Whether that’s going to be possible we’ll have to wait and see.

“They’ve done a lot of work on Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig too.”
