Catch all the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Declan Rice, Cesc Fabregas, Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey.
Arsenal fans, don’t scratch your eyes. Yes, the Gunners really did win against Real Madrid in a 3-0 thrashing at the Emirates Stadium.
A fantastic Declan Rice brace of free-kicks was followed up by a Mikel Merino finish to give the Gunners a handsome lead going into the second leg.
The tie is far from over, though, and attention for Mikel Arteta will quickly shift to the Premier League and a clash with Brentford next up.
So with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day.
Cesc Fabregas left with egg on his face after Declan Rice claim
Declan Rice was the star of the show as Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners over Real Madrid in an entertaining evening at the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder stepped up twice to curl in ridiculous efforts beyond the outstretched arms of Thibaut Courtois to take all of the praise.
It did, however, hark back to some comments made by former midfielder Cesc Fabregas before the match, which now appear baffling.

Speaking on Amazon Prime Video before the match, he said: “I think Declan is a top player. When Arsenal signed him, I thought it was the perfect decision for him and for the club. I still haven’t seen continuously the player I saw at West Ham.”
With the number of goals Rice is now scoring, he is doing something even better than during his time at West Ham.

Mikel Arteta gives Bukayo Saka fitness update
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has given an update on the fitness of star winger Bukayo Saka after the victory over Real Madrid.
The forward made his first start of the year after returning from injury, featuring and impressing heavily on the right flank.
After making some key contributions, Saka appeared to limp off, sparking more fear over his fitness moving forward.

Speaking after the game, the manager eased fears as he said: “He is fine, I think it was a kick in the free kick action.”
