William Saliba answers Arsenal contract question
Arsenal defender William Saliba has looked to ease fears over his contract as his deal starts to dwindle at the club.
The Frenchman has just over two years remaining on his contract with the Gunners, while links over a possible transfer to Real Madrid continue in the background.
Despite that, Saliba has looked to ease fears as he told the press: “I’m really happy here, I have two years as well. So there is nothing, I am happy here, I want to continue here.”
When pushed on a stay, he said: “Of course, I want to win big things with Arsenal because if you leave this club and you didn’t win anything then the people and the fans they forget about you.”

Max Dowman steps up Arsenal role in academy
Arsenal youngster Max Dowman is the next big star being tipped for big things in the Hale End academy ranks.
The youngster has been involved in first-team training this season, but can’t feature for the senior side until next season.
The 15-year-old has largely featured at under-18s level and took the next step in his rise through the academy ranks.
In Arsenal’s under-18s win over Chelsea, Dowman ended up being the captain for the side in a first for him.
That takes him to the next level in terms of leadership, even though he was the youngest one in the team.

Mikel Arteta explains Raheem Sterling snub
Raheem Sterling faced a damning snub during the Manchester United game as Mikel Arteta opted against choosing the winger.
That is despite Arsenal chasing the game, perhaps pointing to the difficulties the forward has faced in his loan spell.
When asked about the snub, Arteta said: “The same with the rest of the players at the end we make decisions on the day, which player we believe fits better in the manner in the game is developing and he’s [Sterling] come in other games and the other day that’s it.”
