Arsenal are busy putting together their plans for the summer transfer window, which is officially open once again.

While the Gunners are away from footballing action for a bit, it’s not long until they will be back playing in the Premier League.

The fixtures for the 2025/26 season come out tomorrow, which will allow Mikel Arteta to plot his route through the campaign.

So, with that said, here’s a look at the latest Arsenal news ahead of another busy day.

Fabrizio Romano gives Myles Lewis-Skelly contract update

Arsenal are still confident of sealing a brand new long-term contract for youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer, claims Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old is set to enter the final year of his deal at the Emirates Stadium, following a breakout campaign.

Lewis-Skelly has been drawing interest from elsewhere, but Romano claims that Arsenal aren’t worried by the links at all.

It could come as a huge boost, should the Gunners seal the deal soon.

Ethan Nwaneri unlocks new position

Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri has staked a claim to a new position for the club after his performance for his national team.

The forward featured on the left wing for the England under-21s against Slovenia, where he came agonisingly close to scoring an opener.

On the change of position, manager Lee Carsley said: “We all know he can play really effectively on the right-hand side, and it’s just another string to his bow if he can play two or three different positions.

“If you look at the pitch, it probably doesn’t suit dribblers because it was a little bit long and dry. But I thought he was a threat. I love watching him play.”

Diego Simeone hints at Arsenal problem

Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has just proven why Arsenal fans were annoyed at the lack of transfer activity in the January transfer market.

The manager responded after seeing his side lose 4-0 to PSG in the Club World Cup by saying: “PSG are a good team of young players. When Luis Enrique needed a left-winger, they pulled out €70m to sign [Khvicha] Kvaratskhelia in January.”

It was a move for PSG that ended up helping them win the Champions League over the Gunners this season.

For Arsenal, it underlines the frustration of not entering the market more aggressively when needed.
