The Premier League title race is reaching its final stages, and Arsenal are still firmly in control at the top.

Mikel Arteta’s side have put themselves in a strong position, but their recent Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City has raised fresh questions.

Some have started to wonder whether Arsenal can still get over the line after falling short in previous seasons.

Leonardo Bonucci, however, believes the race is already decided.

Leonardo Bonucci predicts Arsenal will win the Premier League title

Arsenal currently hold a nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, although they have played a game more than Manchester City.

That advantage puts them in a commanding position with just seven games left to be played.

Given the gap and the stage of the season, Arsenal should still have enough to get the job done, but as usual, many people are doubting them.

However, people must remember that the Gunners have shown consistency throughout the campaign, especially after setbacks, which is why they remain favourites despite the heartbreak at Wembley last Sunday.

Bonucci, who is one of the most decorated defenders of his generation, knows what it takes to win league titles. He lifted the Serie A title nine times.

That experience is why his view matters, and Arsenal fans will be pleased to hear that he believes their side will lift the trophy.

In a video on Metro Sport’s TikTok account, Bonucci was asked who he thinks will win the Premier League title this season.

He replied: “Arsenal!”

Arsenal’s margin for error is almost zero despite nine-point lead

Arsenal may be nine points clear at the top of the table, but that advantage is not as comfortable as it looks on paper.

With Manchester City still having a game in hand and a huge clash between the two sides coming up in April at the Etihad Stadium, the title race is far from over.

If Pep Guardiola’s men manage to win both of those games, the gap would be cut down to just three points.

That is when the pressure could become unbearable for Arsenal, especially given what has happened in previous title races.

For that reason, Arsenal cannot afford to slip up in the coming weeks. They should treat every game as a cup final and also make sure that they get a result against Manchester City at the Etihad.

That would likely guarantee the title.
